David Hrenak vs. Devin Cooley- St. Cloud State vs. Denver
Both goalies come in on a roll this year, leading their respective teams to great records (4-0-1 for Hrenak, 5-0-1 for Cooley) and both have to be superb for their team to get the sweep this weekend in St. Cloud.
Anthony Nellis- Lake Superior State
Nellis is off to a great start this year, with 10 points in the first six games of the season. With LSS off to a 5-1-0 start to the season, they take on an 0-7-1 Alaska team on Friday and Saturday at home, which is a golden opportunity to continue to improve the record early on in the season.
Ryan Larkin- Miami (Ohio)
Larkin has been sensational early on for the Redhawks, posting a 6-2 record with a 1.50 GAA. He’s going to be in between the pipes for Miami against a North Dakota team that’s improving game after game. This series is going to be a very good one.
Cal Burke- Notre Dame
Burke has been good this year, tallying 10 points in the Irish’s first eight games. The question will be, can he help be a leader and get the Irish back on track against a tough Michigan squad, after losing their last three of four against Minnesota Duluth and Ohio State?
