It was quite a wild day yesterday in college hockey, with multiple teams around the country pulling out one goal wins over quality opponents.
Mason Jobst- Ohio State- Jobst had the lone goal for the Buckeyes last night in the win over Notre Dame on the road in a 1-0 win. Ohio State’s scoring has started off slightly slowly, but I fully expect Jobst and the rest of this loaded Buckeyes squad to continue to improve as the season rolls along, especially if Romeo gets going in goal.
Odeen Tufto- Quinnipiac- Tufto has been a catalyst on the Quinnipiac offense with five goals through the team’s first six games, helping to lead them to a 6-0-0 record to start the year, and a No. 15 ranking overall.
Ryan Poehling- St. Cloud State- Poheling tallied two goals for St. Cloud State in a win over Colorado College, and continues to show why he’s one of the best players in the nation. He’s got a lot of toughness and smarts to his game, and he’s only going to continue to produce for HC Brett Larson.
Brandon Kruse- Bowling Green- Kruse tallied two points in a 3-1 win for the Falcons over Northern Michigan. He has 13 points in the team’s first 8 games, and has been a great player alongside Max Johnson thus far this year.
