Scott Perunovich made a statement this past weekend in back to back home wins for the No. 3 ranked Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs over the Maine Black Bears, tallying six points in the two games (1G-5A) for the Bulldogs.
A second round pick for the St. Louis Blues in the 2018 NHL Draft, Perunovich has continued to show his improvement on both sides of the ice, leading the team in points with ten points through the teams first six games helping them go 4-1-1.
Named first team All-American last year, Perunovich is off to a fantastic start and has continued his on-ice chemistry with Dallas Stars first round pick Riley Tufte, as the two have linked up for three Tufte goals over the past three games.
Despite being slightly undersized at 5-foot-10, 172 pounds, Perunovich has elite offensive skill. He’s an excellent skater, and can flourish as a passer or a shooter at the point, and the blue line for UMD is looking as strong as ever with Perunovich at the forefront.
